Sites are listed alphabetically by name within each regional council land area. Map sheets cited on the regions pages are the NZMS 260 series.
The Classification code refers to assessments of:
Importance:
A = international;
B = national;
C = regional.
Vulnerability:
1 = vulnerable to complete destruction by human actions;
2 = vulnerable to significant modifications by human actions;
3 = probably not vulnerable to any likely human actions;
4 = already destroyed by human actions.
